August 2023 Update
Hello from the Appalachian Mountains! God is moving in great and mighty ways here in West Virginia.
This Summer has been exciting with some new firsts. In June, we saw a need to go back to a neighboring community to help families that are unable to make it to the Community Center. The June and July outreaches had a large turnout and we are looking forward to going back and serving these families in August. This is a monthly event and volunteers and mission teams are always welcomed. It is amazing to see God work in the lives of others!!
In July, we began receiving food items from a new partner organization to distribute to families, which is a TREMENDOUS blessing for our community! July also brought a mission team from Tomoka Christian Church. Serving alongside this team, we were able to bless families in many ways. In addition to loving on families, the women helped me write out children’s birthday cards for the entire year and process clothing for our clothing area. The men built a table with benches to help complete a kitchen that Cliff was remodeling for a family with a handicapped child. The kitchen project was completed with the help of a local pastor who joined in to lay the new flooring. We were also blessed to have a friend from North Carolina join in to give a helping hand. The family was truly blessed. The kitchen table was custom made with a ramp so the child can climb up and sit at the table with his parents. Something they have not been able to do in years. Wow, God is so good
For August, we are gearing up for a huge Back-To-School Block Party Bash! Kids will be able to come and receive school supplies, food, hygiene items, enjoy games and activities, jump in the bounce house, and hear the Gospel during a time of worship.
We appreciate all of your prayers and support. We couldn’t make a difference in West Virginia for God’s kingdom without you!
