Anchor Ridge is in the process of making preparations to be able to dispatch supplies with only a few hours notice to provide boots-on-the-ground support when a severe weather event or other natural disaster strikes North Carolina or one of the Appalachian Mountain areas.

The 2024 hurricane season is predicted, by some, to be one of the hardest hitting hurricane seasons in recent years. Anchor Ridge will be on stand-by all season long to get trucks moving as quickly as possible to affected areas.

Over the past few years, along with hard hitting coastal storms, we have witnessed extreme flooding in many of the mountain communities we serve where families have lost their homes, cars, and everything they owned. With your support, we have been able to help many of those families, not only with emergency supplies, but also with major home appliances, such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, beds, and more.

Our Disaster Response Program enables Anchor Ridge to deploy large truck loads of food, water, hygiene products, first-aid items, clothing, pillows / blankets, and cleaning supplies directly to the site of a natural disaster and into the hands of the families that need it most.

PLAN AHEAD: Know your evacuation routes and have emergency plans in place for your family. When storms hit, move quickly as flood waters can rise quickly and remember never to take your care into a flooded area.

DROP OFF SITE: Anchor Ridge is, and will continue to be, a drop-off site for bottled water and other essential supplies. You can bring supplies to our distribution center at: 1137 River Road Liberty Grove Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659. Supplies can be dropped off now, or anytime before/after/during our distribution efforts.

We pray these services are not needed, but if they are, we will show up as a ray of hope on someone’s worst day. As always, thank you for helping make this possible to families all throughout the year during times of trouble.
