Disaster Response Church Network
Building Relationships Before Disaster Strikes
When disaster impacts a community, the local church is often one of the first places people turn for help.
Anchor Ridge is building a network of trusted church partners throughout Appalachia so that when disaster strikes, we already know who to call, where the needs are, and how we can work together to serve families quickly.

Why Churches?
Local churches know their communities.
They know the families. They know the neighborhoods. And when flooding, severe storms, fires, or other emergencies occur, they often know where help is needed before anyone else does.
Anchor Ridge wants to establish these relationships before the emergency happens.
Our goal is simple:
Build relationships now so we can serve more effectively later.

When Disaster Strikes, We Don’t Want to Start With an Introduction.
We want to start with a relationship.
Every Church Has Something to Offer
A Disaster Response Church Partner might be able to:
✓ Help identify families and areas with the greatest needs
✓ Serve as a local point of contact
✓ Help communicate with the community
✓ Provide volunteers
✓ Provide space for a relief distribution
✓ Temporarily store relief supplies
✓ Accommodate box trucks or tractor-trailers
✓ Assist with meal preparation
✓ Connect Anchor Ridge with other community resources
✓ Pray with and encourage families affected by disaster
Your church doesn’t have to do everything.
We simply want to know what resources may be available if your community experiences an emergency.
Partnership Without Pressure
Becoming a Disaster Response Church Partner does not obligate your church to respond to every disaster.
There is no required financial contribution, number of volunteers, amount of storage space, or commitment to open your facilities.
Every disaster is different.
When an emergency occurs, we’ll simply connect with your church, discuss what’s happening in your community, and determine together what resources are available and how we can best respond.
Will Your Church Join the Network?
Help us build a stronger network of churches prepared to serve when their communities need them most.
There is no obligation by expressing interest. You’re simply helping us establish a relationship today that could make an incredible difference tomorrow.
